The most important modules at a glance
The study program comprises four semesters, one of which (according to the plan the 3rd semester) is completely dedicated to a compulsory stay abroad. For each of the four semesters of study the award of 30 ECTS is foreseen. For the scientific final thesis (Master's thesis) in the 4th semester 25 ECTS are foreseen.

Semester abroad
The semester abroad generally takes place in the 3rd semester.
Semester abroad at a foreign university
HWG Ludwigshafen has well over 80 partner universities worldwide. Students are of course also allowed to choose their own university with which we do not have a partnership.
Students must complete 30 ECTS at the foreign university or college. The duration depends on the semester times of the respective university.
Practical semester abroad
As an alternative to a semester abroad at a university, students can also take a practical semester (internship) in a company abroad. The duration of the practical semester is 20 weeks. It is not an internship, but a practical semester, which is usually project-based.
Are all lectures held in English?
Lectures can be held in English as well as in German.
In addition, guest lecturers from partner universities will hold events and lectures in English.
Writing and defending the Master's thesis in English is also possible and highly appreciated.
Working alongside your studies
The consecutive Master IHRM is a contact study. That means it is a full-time study. Working is only reasonable in the context of a normal student job (e.g. in the context of a working student job and in the lecture-free period).
