As part of the introductory week, the "Code of Conduct Training" took place on Friday, 22.09.23 for all new enrollees of the degree programs Marketing, IPO and Business Psychology of Department II. The moderators of the event were Prof. Dr. Klaus Blettner, Prof. Dr. Lan Cao, Prof. Dr. Claudia Kohl, Anja Hausmann and Regina Hamacher.
In the form of a "World Café" (workshop method), the students went through 4 stations where the following questions had to be answered:
- What do you expect from your fellow students and your interaction with each other?
- What do you expect from your lecturers and their interaction with each other?
- What do you expect from your university and the administration?
- What do you expect from yourself? Where do you want to be at the end of your studies? How do you want to be involved in your studies and at HWG?
Participants enjoyed lively discussions that produced full whiteboards as a result. After internal group syntheses, the moderators presented central aspects from their areas.
As a very personal conclusion of this event, the moderator Prof. Cao offered a special surprise to the students: The participants* had the opportunity to write a letter with their own most important aspects to themselves and to hand it in to department II afterwards. These letters will be kept sealed and sent to the students by mail in exactly 3 years, on 22.09.2026.
