Welcome to the AI Literacy Center - your service point for AI in studies and education at the HWG Ludwigshafen!
Here you will find competent advice, up-to-date information and practical offers on the topic of AI in studies and education. The AI Literacy Center is a service provided by the Departments of Studies and Education in cooperation with the IT Service Center. Together, we want to actively promote all students and teaching staff in the competent use of AI and make them fit for the future.

AI Bootcamps
Fundamentals, applications and ethical issues
The AI bootcamp provides you with a compact, interactive introduction to the most important topics in artificial intelligence - practical, understandable and up to date. The course is aimed at students from all disciplines and provides you with the foundation you need to use AI competently and thoughtfully - in your studies, in your future career and even in your private life.
Overview of topics:
- Introduction to machine learning and generative AI
- Practical exercises for working with data
- First steps in developing your own machine learning models
- Recognizing and reflecting on bias in AI systems
- Ethical issues in dealing with AI
- Legal basics: EU AI Act, data protection & copyright law
Benefit from a structured introduction that not only provides you with technical know-how, but also the critical judgment to use AI responsibly and effectively - no matter in which area.

Department 1: First semester students of the BA degree programs Business Administration - Sustainability Management (BNM)/ Business Administration - Controlling, Management, Information (BMC)/ International Business Administration - Management (BIM)
Thursday, September 25 and Friday, September 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on both days at the Ernst-Boehe-Str. 4-6 campus.
