Instruction special inventory pool coupling

The University of Applied Sciences Ludwigshafen has two times the possibility to connect two pools for lectures in PC rooms with large groups. In this case the didactnets of two adjacent pools are connected and a sound and image transmission takes place.
This is possible with the rooms A104 / A105 (50 computers) and A304 / A305 (50 computers).
The lecturer holds his lecture in the master room (A104 or A304). It is recommended that students who are well versed in the subject matter of the respective course attend the lecture in the slave room (A105 or A305), while students who are somewhat weaker should remain in the master room.
It is unusual not to see the lecturer, but only to follow his voice and the presentation via the beamer.
For events that require a lot of support from the lecturer to the students, it is recommended to put an additional tutor in the slave pool if necessary, so as not to delay the flow of the lecture too much.
Before use:
You can currently obtain the wireless microphone and other accessories for use in room 102c
The following steps must be followed for start-up:

First, the pool coupling must be activated in the corresponding slave pools 105 or 305. This is done when the beamer is started up and the didactic network is switched over.
During the changeover, it should be ensured that the didactic network was switched off beforehand.

Applies only to room 104 & 105:
During the lecture, it is possible to switch between the camera image and the beamer image. This can be done by a person from the front row.
This switch is only located in room 105.

In the master room, below the window sill, there is a black rack in which the technology for sound and image transmission is housed. This can be activated via a main switch.
The key for the rack is located next to the microphone set. Unlock the rack and turn on the system. Wait until it has booted up (approx. 20 seconds).

On the lecturer's table there is a switch box for controlling the sound transmission

  • Button 1 - All mics on Sound transmission to both rooms
  • Button 2 - Sound transmission only to master room from PC source (feed to switchbox)
  • Button 3 - Mutes microphones (to be used in case of sound feedback)
  • Button 4 - No sound transmission

When pressing keys 1 to 3, the additional source is always played back.

Make sure that key 1 is always selected in pairing mode.

Now take the microphone out of the box and switch it on.
The on/off switch is located under the hinged lid.
On the display you can read the battery capacity and the signal strength of the sound.

Put the transmitter on your belt or in your pocket and attach the microphone to your collar.
The signal level on the transmitter can be used to check whether the position of the microphone is correct.
The microphone can be muted using the MUTE switch.
If no signal is transmitted, check the position of the switch.

Before activating the pool coupling in the master room, press the red button on the didactnet (video off).
Pressing the button "Beamer" will project your image in both rooms.
The lecturer PC is automatically selected as the source. Of course, you can also select any other PC from both rooms as the source. The keys "Beamer Teacher" and "Beamer Notebook" do not work during pool coupling.

During the lecture, you can take a look at the slave pool at any time by means of a monitoring monitor.
Even if there should be questions in the opposite pool, this is no problem. Direct communication is possible through microphones mounted on the ceiling.
