Media control in lecture rooms

Until the beginning of the winter semester 2013 / 14, new media technology was installed in some lecture rooms in buildings A, B and E (old building, new building and Postbank). The new beamers are brighter and now offer a resolution up to Full HD.

Connections for your notebook and the control system are permanently installed on a desk in the room. This may not be moved!

For the control no remote control is needed any more. The system is controlled via a keypad on the media console After pressing the button "Power on", it takes about 30 seconds until the projector is ready for operation.Between a shutdown and a restart a time lock is built in.

VGA and HDMI are available as connections. The input signal can also be controlled via the keypad.

Furthermore, sound can now also be played back. The connection is made via a 3.5mm jack plug. For sound playback, this has to be plugged into the corresponding socket on the notebook. The volume can be regulated via the keypad. Activation takes place when the beamer is switched on.

Special case PC pool

The new technology has also already been installed in some PC rooms. There, the VGA connection to the lecturer's desk is still to be used. The VGA connection on the desk is deactivated because the Didact network is connected there.

However, the HDMI connection can be used. However, this signal can NOT be fed into the Didact network.
